- In answer to (3)...
- 1. Start buying and reading Video Toaster User magazine. A glossy
- monthly. Later, if you want to get heavier into "tips'n'tricks
- from the experts" you can sub to their LightWave Pro newsletter mag
- (but it's rather small & expensive... you be the judge if it's
- what you'll need)
-
- 2. Watch the LightWave Essentials tape that comes with LightWave.
- If you learn from it (and it'd be hard not to), consider buying
- one or more of the other tapes hosted by Lee Stranahan, published
- by Desktop Images (they have a two page ad in VTU magazine). Each
- tape is 90min-2hr long and packed with quite a lot of useful,
- easy-to-follow information. They're well-produced and incredibly
- useful for getting yourself up to speed with LightWave's various
- functions and features.
-
- 3. Read this newsgroup and ask questions and don't be intimidated
- into thinking your questions are "stupid." No one was born
- knowing this stuff.
-
- 4. Subscribe to and read the LightWave mailing list. (Subbing details
- are posted here regularly by its listkeeper).
-
- 5. If at all possible as an adjunct to (2) above, apprentice yourself
- to someone who knows LightWave, sit next to him, watch what he does
- and ask a lot of questions.
